2 Arrested After APD Recognized Wanted Suspect’s Vehicle

Early Saturday morning an Amarillo Police officer noticed a car belong to a wanted individual.

The police officer pulled over the 1995 Cadillac four door which was traveling southbound on Ridgemere Boulevard. The officer eventually stopped the vehicle in the 2800 block of Sanborn.

The driver was the wanted person, Andre Juane Speaks, 31 of Amarillo.  Speaks had an outstanding bond forfeiture stemming from a felon in possession of a firearm arrest in Wichita County.

The female passenger in the car, Davina Harris, 25, was wanted on an outstanding city warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both were taken into custody.

Upon a search of the vehicle the officer found narcotic paraphernalia, a plastic bottle containing around 11 grams of methamphetamine, and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.
