105lb Woman Downs 10lbs Of Turkey To Win Contest

Food eating contests are the pinnacle of American excess.  And they are disgusting.

I can't think of anything more entertaining than gorging oneself with turkey the day before you're supposed to gorge oneself with turkey.  It's like having a tooth pulled...twice.

In New York though, this is a great idea.  In fact a marketing ploy of the ages.  Especially when a teeny tiny woman defeats big beefy men lifting...turkey.

Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas ate almost an entire turkey today to take home the top prize.  The top prize being a bit over $1,500.  And all the turkey she could eat.

She also won in 2003.
