1 Killed, Another Injured Critically In Forklift Accident

Amarillo Police responded to HD Wrecker Service in the 6100 block of Canyon Drive yesterday on a report of a workplace accident.

When officers arrived they found one man dead and a woman injured.  The pair had used a forklift to raise a pickup truck when the truck fell off and onto the victims.

The APD states after the truck fell on the couple, the woman was able to use her cellphone to call for assistance.

The woman was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.  Names of the victims have not been released.
